Thanks to Duane Anthony Cronk for sharing my moms obituary from The Cheboygan Tribune: Gertrude Lois Kline 93, Cheboygan, 1920-2014 Gertrude Lois “Trudy†Kline, 93, of Cheboygan and late of Fenton, died peacefully Sunday Nov. 23, 2014. Trudy was born Dec. 20, 1920 in Cheboygan, the daughter of Stanley and Harriet (Wheaton) Meggitt. Married to Girard Nicholas Kline on Dec 27, 1947 in Cheboygan, she was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Company as a switchboard operator. She was also later employed by Cheboygan Community Hospital as switchboard receptionist. An active member of St. Pauls Methodist Church, she was also a member of many womens groups. She enjoyed downhill and cross-country skiing, was an avid golfer, and loved working in her flowerbeds and garden. She is survived by daughters, Debra (and Donald Koch) of Holly, Patsy (Constantine) of Cheboygan, and Shirley (and John Neal) of Bay City; by five grandchildren, Peggy (Hoffman), Lori (and Rodney Ruse), Julie (and Richard Crete), Shelly (and John Ottimer), and Jenny (and Dave Sturvis); and by nine great grandchildren, Paul Miller, Danyell Santana, Nicholas Ruse, Olivia Ruse, Alexander Ruse, Rachel Brown, Kyle Crete, Kalista Palmer, and Kyra LaRue; and also by 10 great-great grandchildren, Andrea, Leticia, Karla, Vanessa, Sydney, Lauren, Logan Girard Ruse, Isabella Ruse, Hunter Crete and Ellie Jane Brown. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Martha (Wahl) and Ruth (Wolf), her brothers, Carmen and Guy, and her beloved husband, Girard. No services are planned at this time. Burial will be at Pinehill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Adopt A Pet of Fenton Michigan, 13575 N. Fenton Rd., Fenton, MI 48430 The Nordman-Christian Funeral Home is caring for the family.
