Thanks to Heidi Schneider Stamper, I got #13 for random things you may not know about me. Like this status and I’ll give you a number. 1. I met my perfect match, Angela Birschbach Alexander online on matchmaker in September 1998. 2. Angie and I met in person at New Parthenon Restaurant after corresponding for a month, I was attending a conference on behalf of my co-worker, Kevin, and was wearing his name-tag. Angie had an ex-boyfriend named Kevin and at first thought I was playing a cruel joke by wearing the name tag. Oops. 3. Angie and I went to Paris in March 2003 and in our first full day there got caught in a protest in Concorde Square as the US invaded Iraq. Oops. 4. Trevor was scheduled to be born Christmas 2003 (see note on Paris and do the math). However, he was almost 11 pounds so they delivered him 10 days early. 5. I had to feed Trevor 10 minutes after he was born cause he was so huge. He seems normal now. Fortunately, Audrey was just 9 pounds. 6. When I was a kid, I was not in Scouts, I was in Pioneers which was fun but I secretly admired my neighbor Joey being in Scouts and hoped someday I would have a boy in Scouts, as such, I am ALL geeked out that my son likes Scouting with me. 7. I was raised Lutheran, married Catholic, and finally found our family growing in the love of Jesus at NorthRidge Church which is non-denominational. 8. When I was a kid my family went square dancing at least once a week, every week, for years. 9. My parents took us to the national square dancing convention in Kentucky, hands down one of the best childhood memories I have! 10. We square danced on a float in a parade in Dearborn. 11. When I was a kid I walked on my toes all the time, but I ran fast. My PT ried to fix my stride anyway. 12. In 1993 I went into the Navy with the intent of going into Legal work, like an underwriter, but we had lot of technology on our ship so got into IT, which is a great fit for my way of thinking. 13. I literally owe the start of my IT career to my former shipmate David Zurell who very patiently guided me through the basics. Ill always be thankful!
