Thanks to Hydro Serv pressure cleaning restaurant equipment outside on the sidewalk, Ive been lying in bed listening to an industrial sized generator for four hours. The first officer that came out after I called 311 said they could keep working because they had a permit. I explained there was a city noise ordinance and that a work permit did not override that. He did not know about the ordinance (??) and was quite flippant... said he had more important matters to attend to. I looked at his badge, he told me his name and said, you can call my supervisor. So I did. His supervisor came out and quickly resolved everything. I didnt have to explain a thing. A a a a h quiet is so pretty. Persistence pays off. Unfortunately, now I know of one more laisse-faire law enforcement officer who doesnt know the law and/or could give a shit.
