Thanks to Nick Vandergragt for posting this: This makes sense how? Yesterday, it was reported on the news that MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources), effective July 1st, 2013 has acknowledged through the Green Energy Act that Wind Turbine, Solar energy are exempt from the Endangered Species Act. The Wind Turbines have a 20-year contract….same as the Solar Panels. They can now blast away through rock and our forests, destroy wildlife, destroy the fish habitat and the bird habitat to construct these huge wind turbines for “sustainability”. However, once the 20-year contracts are complete, these turbines will be commissioned to be torn down and taken to the scrap yards. The day before, it was reported on the news that three (3) municipalities that have a population of 8,000 – 9,000 residents are being sued by NexTera Energy Canada (Wind Turbines). https://wind-watch.org/news/2013/06/13/lawsuit-filed-over-wind-turbines-west-grey-will-go-to-court-to-fight-nextera-energy-canada/ https://wind-watch.org/news/2013/03/23/ontario-municipalities-finding-creative-ways-to-keep-wind-turbines-out/ Meanwhile, the MNR is enforcing regulation against the farming industry, the logging industry, the aggregate industry and many other types of business that will be restricted from working their lands due to the Endangered Species Act. Does this seem fair? Rumour has it, that part of the Algonquin Land Claim initiative is to bring wind turbines up in the Madawaska area. IF this is true, what will this mean for our future. In the meantime, our rural properties will have lost their value, our wildlife will be gone, the health impact on the residents will be affected, our agriculture industry will be destroyed. It becomes more clearer all the time that it appears the intent of this province is to drive the rural people into the cities. Once again, I plead with you to help us fight against the acceptance of these Official Plans…..because this is just the beginning. It appears these Wind Turbines are coming even though there are many municipalities that are against it. The Official Plans are driven from the province. We must not give up and continue to fight for the protection of our Private Property rights.
