Thanks to all those who stood with us to make the WFXY WANO Listener Appreciation Concert a success, despite the on and off rain showers. We may have created a new idea drive-in concerts. Thanks to Celeste Kellogg for an awesome show, Frank and Penny Smith, Rita Hansard aka Kennedy James, Dora and Dillion, The City street dept. men, Alex Campbell for saving the popcorn machine, Brian Gray and Eddie Harrell of Malachi for doing the sound. Even though this weekend had several big events going on at the same time, what I saw this afternoon made it all worthwhile when a lady in a wheelchair came up and danced in her wheelchair in the rain. Im glad we could provide that moment of happiness for her. Sometimes its not about how many follow you or the crowd thats there. Its about that moment you bring something into someones life that makes them forget their problems. Thats why we do what we do! Thanks to everyone again.
