Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to leave messages of support for the people affected by the Holden announcement. Just a quick update to let you know what Ive been working on over the last few days: - Weve dramatically accelerated the States 10-year plan to transform manufacturing (now itll roll out over the next four years) – Ive asked the Economic Development Board to spearhead efforts to attract new industries to SA - Former Federal Industry Minister Greg Combet has been appointed as the States Automotive Transformation Coordinator Last week I met with the Prime Minister to put South Australias case for a strong support package that would help affected workers, their families, and their communities. His announcement on funding is expected soon - Ill keep you posted.
