Thanks to everyone who turned out to help clean up the grounds at the Arlington Historical Museum on Ridge Road last Saturday (May 3) Chick Walter (our volunteer all-around building guy) and volunteer coordinator Bonnie Flynn once again enlisted help from the youth from Arlingtons Church of Latter Day Saints. County Parks provided tools, mulch, and new plantings, in addition to scheduling mowing to make life easier on our volunteers tending the trees on the hill. Our LDS partners were as eager and resourceful as ever, and follow through until they can call the job[s] done. Our experienced neighbors showed up to work with and guide the efforts of those less experienced. Our Hume neighbors again offered overflow parking. We now have 9 years of effort invested in reclaiming, improving and maintaining both the Hume School Grounds and the I395 exit, and they are a credit to the neighborhood. The County Board complimented our volunteer efforts as exemplary as recently as the November 2013 Board meeting. Its a great community commitment and looks great! Thanks to everyone involved who makes Arlington Historical Museum and the surrounding area look so great!!
