Thanks to lots of attention and problem-solving from the therapists, I am working today on learning how to transfer in and out of my wheelchair by myself. Whether or not I can learn to do this determines a lot about what will happen in the following weeks and months: Will I actually be able to leave on Friday? Will I be able to stay in North Carolina or will I have to go back with my family for a while? Will I be able to use the restroom without assistance? Get in and out of cars? Im worried about this, but hopeful that we will be able to figure it out.
