Thanks to my outgoing and always optimistic cousin Reese Golchin, i think Ill participate in the Positivity Project! posting 3 positive things for 5 straight days... good thing Im at home and not on ships right now, otherwise, I mightve had a very DIFFERENT type of project! :) Here goes... DAY 1 1. Have to start with the newest and greatest joy in my life -- my husband! I am so lucky to have married my best friend, someone who is not only essentially the male version of ME, but who encourages and supports me no matter what crazy idea I might be onto next! :) I love you, Jean-Philippe Angers 2. As I sit here typing this out, my little dog Peanut is curled up in a ball next to my feet just happy to be around people. I dont think she has any idea how much joy, love, and fun we get from her --laughing AT her, of course, not with her. :) I watch her and think of how amazing it is that such a tiny little bundle can make such a difference in our lives..... as she commences to lick her private parts... ok, moving on.. 3. Went flying with my dad the other day! Im lucky that he has a plane for us to do that, because it gives such a new perspective of life on the ground. Seeing the entire city in one view, you get a sense of how connected we all are, and things that seem far away on the ground are really actually very close - a nice metaphor for lifes challenges, I think. And being above the stress, the traffic, and the craziness of everyday life relaxes your mind to a point where you start to imagine lifes possibilities... ohhhh, so THATS what meditation is... :)
