The room was spacious and very comfortable but for me the beds were far too soft and a little sunken. Also the AC did not work in our room (203) - it only blew hot air and not cool which luckily was not needed as we had cold air from the window coming through. But please know that if youre northern European, it still is very warm during the day in November and come the morning, youre parched and gasping for air. Breakfast was okay, simple and varied enough but small things like real boiled eggs and plain yoghurt were missing, as well as nice tasting coffee! Yes shock horror - in the heart of Italy - they have two machines that both have awful coffee with the worst milk possible. Not good at all. The Rome’s City Council doesn’t allow having at the same time air condition and heating to avoid air pollution. In November it is supposed to be winter and usually very cold and full of humidity, exceptionally this year it is not. I understand you come from north Europe and you are used to a colder temperature but we couldn’t do anything to avoid this problem. Regarding the Hot American Buffet Breakfast you didn’t like, please note other Guests wrote it is even better the breakfast served in the USA, thus I’m totally confident in the top service we provide for free, included in each room rate. Our Buffet offers the choice among over 100 products, many of them freshly home made as pastries, season fruit gateaux, candied or dried fruit cakes and croissants. Oven cooked bacon, salami, turkey ham, varied of cheese, hot scramble eggs, fruit salad, variety of cereals, muesli, fruit - flavored yoghurt, jams, butter, honey, creamy chocolate, fruit juices, fresh fruits, sorted of bread, biscuits, American and barley coffee, decaf, hot chocolate drink, variety of teas, full fat and skimmed milk. The plain yoghurt is stocked in a self refrigerated machine with dispenser located on top of the buffet desk to serve it always at the better temperature. The espresso and cappuccino are self service made by automatic machine and have absolutely the same taste of the one you can have at any Street Bar, because the machines ground the coffee beans on the instant. This decision has been taken to avoid long wait when the Hotel is full, because to prepare and serve more than 300 espresso or cappuccino at the same time it takes really a long time. About your complain on the bed condition it didn’t find me at one with you because all the rooms have been renovated at the end of 2012 and are fully furnished with brand new sommiers and anatomical mattresses, real eiderdown, 2 graduated compression pillows per person. All the rooms are equipped with flat 32”TV set with 6 free of charge Sky channel, pay tv, direct dial telephone and hairdryer. In the bathrooms you can find liquid soap dispensers, located at the toilettes and showers.
