Thanks to the Philippines for taking a stand on elephants! This Friday they will publicly destroy 5 tons of ivory worth millions on the illegal bloody ivory market. This act, like the burning of 12 tons of ivory in Kenya in 1989, is an appeal to people all over the world to stop buying ivory. Hopefully, China will hear this appeal because whether wild African Elephants continue to live their amazing lives in the wild or become functionally extinct is in the hands of China.
