Thanks to the encouragement from this group I made a big step. After looking at my horses paper work I found the name and address of my horses origanal owner. I mailed her a Christmas card with pictures and told her who I have and asked if she had her long and remembered her. Apparently the person who bred my horse kept her for 9 years then just sold her and she was sold again to me. So now I have this beautiful and perfect 10 year old mare for almost a year. I got SO MUCH INFORMATION and great stories. I spent over a hour on the phone with her and she was so over joyed. She was very glad I contacted her because she had feared the worst when she lost track of my precious girl. I definitely gave her some holiday joy and it puts a huge smile on my face. I encourage everyone to contact as far back as they can about their horses to let someone who once loved them know where they are and that they are safe! Its very rewarding. Im so glad everyone told me to go for it! Im sure her past owner is greatful too! Heres a cute video of my horse getting a bath. *Ignore my boyfriends silly remarks while filming.* enjoy!
