That lump in the throat -- that sick feeling in the stomach -- that aching in your arms -- the racing of your heart -- the overall tiredness and lack of energy -- the foggy mind and inability to make decisions -- the loss of memory -- forgetfulness -- feeling lost and without direction -- unable to set daily goals -- feeling like youre never quite here. This is just a small portion of what it feels like to lose a child. And, to think that society expects us to get back to our old self withing a few short weeks! That is a total impossibility!!! Child loss turns a person inside out and upside down and it takes a very, very long time to get any kind of balance in life again, and NEVER will a parent be his or her old self. God bless every one feeling the pain of child loss this day!
