That was undoubtedly the biggest earthquake I have felt in my 30 years in NZ! I had Conor standing under the doorframe in the kitchen and we could see outside and all the trees were moving like someone was shaking them. Scary stuff indeed. Head office in Welly is shut. The building was rated as only 28% earthquke compliant and they were due to move into new building 2 weeks ago but were delayed. Now the new building is on reclaimed land down on the waterfront and it REALLY moved around so now everyone is on leave till they workout what to do. Happy days in the shaky isles.
