Thats 400,000 citizens of the state of Illinois who are living below poverty, trying to survive on roughly $17,000 a year, told the crowd of about 30 people. Many of us understand that it is very difficult to survive off of $8.25 ... We want to begin to have a groundswell movement of individuals of the faith community who understand that it is important for us, not only to have church on Sunday, but to begin to move our faith beyond the four walls of the church and begin to engage the community and help the community to understand that these issues are important to us.
