The 2008 bill passed by president Bush agreed that children seeking shelter and protections will be allowed their day in court to present their case..... Obama seems to be trying to skirt this requirement in the law by returning the children beforehand and not making them Americas problem which some like myself see a falling away from our promise to provide succor for children facing rape and murder should we force them to return from where they came. This is not an easy issue and should not be dismissed and the law disregarded if we intend at all to maintain our status as a haven for those seeking the protections of the law....
