The 2013/2014 English premier league was concluded yesterday. Man City emerged as champions with 86 points,closely followed by Liverpool (84),Chelsea(82) and Arsenal(79) in fourth place.The top three will go straight to the group stages of the 2014/2015 UEFA champions league while Arsenal will battle her way through play off.This season have witnessed record breaking goals as well as equaling the previous number of goals score in a season.For instance,Man City scored a total of 156 goals in all competition this season to beat the previous record held by Chelsea which is 147.102 of these goals came from premier league,just 1 short of Chelsea premier league record of 103 goals in 2009/2010 season.On the other hand,Liverpools Luis Suarez emerged as the league top scorer with 31 goals to equal the previous record set by both Alan Shearer(1994/1995) and Christiano Ronaldo(2008/2009) respectively,as the highest number of goals score by a player in the 38 league format season.This is why the English premier league is the most educative and attractive league in the world.How i wish Nigeria league can be the same.Go Arsenal for FA cup comes May 17th.Gunners for life!
