The 2013 International Cell Leaders’ Conference, which held from the 13th to 15th of June 2013, was a special time to be inspiration and empowerment; and, also a time to recognize our Cell Ministry Leaders, Cells, and Churches that contributed greatly to the work of Ministry in the outgoing BLW Cell Ministry year 2012/2013. A global conference, with delegates from all around the world registering to participate, the ICLC 2013 was beamed live to designated viewing centres, where registered delegates fellowshipped with those live at the LCA Facility in Lagos Nigeria. Day 1- Every Tree becomes a Forest!!! The opening night was filled with superlative presentations from the LoveWorld Creative Arts, and the LoveWorld Music Ministry. A thundering roar from the congregation welcomed our man of God, Pastor Chris, as the air of expectation and desire for an impartation through the Word, and by the Spirit, was at its peak. Pastor welcomed everyone, and immediately started to share God’s Word, declaring the Spirit’s Word to us - “every tree a forest”; because God’s purpose is for every tree to become a forest through the Holy Ghost. Pastor further explained that God had produced in us trees of righteousness, and that we’ve been sent forth to produce more trees of righteousness. He taught us that we are the Lord’s planting, and as trees of righteousness, we are co-labourers together with Him to bear fruits of righteousness. This became a focus at the Conference, as Pastor commenced a teaching on how to make this a reality by the power of the Holy Spirit. Talk Shows The conference featured series of inspiring and informative talk shows, where issues ranging from cell ministry exploits, to major ministry developments around the world were discussed. Senior Pastors as well as exceptional cell leaders shared inspiring thoughts and testimonies from their work over the outgoing year, and their intentions for the forthcoming cell ministry year. The talk-shows stirred up conviction in the congregation, as they were inspired at the extent to which many have taken the vision given to our Man of God. Day 2-Principles for the Harvest Pastor taught on the second day, how to have results based on what the Holy Spirit has told us – ‘every tree a forest’ and he brought out a few points to note: We are workers together with God (1cor 3:9) and we are to let His grace produce results in our lives (2cor 6:1). We are to ask the Lord of the harvest for labourers (Matt 9:37), minister to the Lord, and make confessions to His name in worship (Acts 13:1, Acts 4:22-31). Pastor went on to explain to us the importance of prayer and the reason we pray. He said; “Our prayer makes it consistent for God to do whatever He would want to do, which was inconsistent for Him to do had we not prayed”. He explained further that when we pray, it doesn’t change God, but it makes it consistent for Him to do for us, through us, or on our behalf, whatever He would have done, but which was inconsistent for Him to have done, had we not prayed. Engage in ‘Prevailing prayer’. Pastor emphasized the importance of intercession for sinners because the value of every soul is the Blood of Jesus. Pastor instructed that pastors and leaders should travail in prayer (travailing in tears) for the souls of men, disciplining their minds and channelling their emotions towards God in this regard. He said “once your mind is focused, your emotions get involved in your prayer (James 5:16 AMP). Finally, Pastor shared with the leaders what happens when we pray: 1. Prayer helps you come into the fullness of the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18, Acts 4:31. 2. You receive guidance as you pray Acts 13:1, 2 3. Prayer yields you to the Holy Spirit, for Him to pray through you. (Isaiah 66:8, Romans 8:26 Psalm 2:8, Gal 4:19.)
