The 2014 Warrior Soccer season has OFFICIALLY begun!!!! Rosters have been set. Class schedules are 98% done. One set of new uniforms has arrived. Scrimmages are set. The schedule is locked in and will be unveiled tomorrow. The team has been working hard for the majority of the summer. The boys trained three times a week, they had four scrimmages throughout late June and July. As far as the outlook, the districts have been realigned and we are now back in the same district with Belen, Valencia and Los Lunas. We still keep the new comers Centennial as district foes and of course....we keep the ever friendly rivalry with Chaparral. Los Lunas looks to be the toughest competition out of those northern schools. Centennial and Chaparral will of course be tough teams. We of course will work hard to bring home the District Championship in whatever district we compete. However, we do realize that a Runner Up finish will still get us into the state playoffs. That is the goal: get in the playoffs and make a run. Our team will be lead by some strong seniors across the field. Two excellent goalkeepers that will have to split playing time. Three excellent and strong defenders in defense and probably two of the quickest forwards in the state. They will be backed up by possibly one of the best underclass group in the area. The team is overloaded with talented midfielders that can attack with speed and amazing touch. The energy is high the team is excited and ready to get the games under way. We of course will be reporting scores and posting videos and pics as soon as we can. Stay with us and we hope to see you in the stands. WARRIORBALL 2014!!
