The 29th Annual Western Workers Labor Heritage Festival January 16 – 18, 2015 1511 Rollins Rd. Burlingame, CA (Machinists, Plumbers and Transport Workers Union Halls, near SF Airport) The Western Workers Festival is a celebration of the artistic and spiritual culture of labor and working men and women. Held on MLK weekend, it commemorates the social justice and economic change that Dr. King so firmly endorsed. Its a three-day festival of workshops, presentations, dance, film, graphic arts, spoken word and lots of music ... practically anything that can be interpreted as an artistic expression of workers voices in the working world will be found at this festival. Labor artist and archivist Lincoln Cushing will receive the Labor Arts Award. The concert will benefit workers in need. Draft program on the back side of this flyer. Reasonable Accommodation: The site is wheelchair accessible. Our shuttle cannot accommodate motorized wheelchairs, but the county paratransit can. If you are eligible for paratransit at home, fax a copy of the certification to SamTrans and and reserve RediWheels. Requires reservations at least 24 hours in advance. Allow 45 minutes for a ride under 5 miles (from hotel or Milbrae BART or CalTrain). Cost: $ 3.75 each way, with a reduced low-income rate.
