The 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards Presentation Ceremony Press Conference Correction Announcement of Press Release According to the press release of the press conference on 1 Apr 2014 issued by Hong Kong Film Awards Association, some of the information in the third paragraph regarding Director Cheung Sing Yim was incorrect. Please see below the corrected version of the third paragraph: It was announced that Director Cheung Sing Yim is the recipient of the Life Time Achievement Award of this year. Director Cheung Sing Yim’s film “The Jade Bow” in 1966 was one of the first colored kung fu films in Hong Kong. The way Director Cheung used wire for action shooting was innovative and surprised the audience a lot in the 60’s. In 1982, Cheung directed “The Shaolin Temple” and starred martial arts athletes. The film was a big debut that Mr Jet Li and Shaolin Temple became famous worldwide. As Cheung’s films were a great influence of the production of the local kung fu films, Cheung was entirely worthy as the recipient of this Award.
