The 4th grade students have been studying about slavery and the Underground Railroad. This week Amanda Hatfield from the Buhl Public Library did a presentation on quilts and the Underground Railroad. Students were then allowed to create a quilt that might help them as they tried to escape from slavery using the Underground Railroad. The quilts will be on display in the elementary hall during Student-Led Conferences, which will be held Wednesday, February 4th.
