The 5 Reasons Why I Write 4 U It happens once in a life-time, a meeting between jigsaw puzzles, A sharp edge, double-edged sword meets its sheath, When history stops repeating itself, after hour specials, Meeting the same individuals, same qualities, same mistakes, Once in a blue moon does Spirituality caress Scientific methods, When Theology lays next to Theories, When Einstein has a drink with the Pope, As Langston Hughes shared stories with Shakespeare, Imagine Frederick Douglas shaking hands with Dr. King, Or Malcolm X meeting Huey Newton, We can explain different opinions as never happening, Fate combined with perfection gives birth to this confession, Just met, same beliefs, got you on my mind during prayer, I got Allah (swt) in my right hemisphere, Left field taken, priority ridden, your words never hollow, Few syllables spoken, your eyes drive me climbing monumental mountains, It’s as if I rock climbed your inner sanctum, I became your custodian cleaning out what doesn’t belong, Keeping your memories from getting old, refurbished machinery, I update your database with hadith, I hold Quran for you nightly, It’s as if the 60′s went back in time meeting the companions of the prophet (pbuh), Holding strong, got warriors of Islam, The Sword of Allah stands by the man who was given the Sword from Allah (swt), Women’s suffrage visited our Modern take 15 hundred years ago, The right to vote was given freely, not judged by Saudi, Saudi has an Established date, our Deen came before, Your existence was written down before the big bang counted down, Let me count down the reasons why I came to be, The reasons why I come knocking on your front door, 1) You got mediocrity running for the hills, Were on our pilgrimage running back and forth from mountain hill to mountain hill, 2) You remind me of Umar Ibn Al-Khattab (ra), It is said that when he spoke, his heart followed before revelation was revealed, Often times what he spoke, re-assured by revelation given from Allah (swt), 3) I remember on a daily basis passing by an elderly woman, Walking from street corner to native son’s territory, An older woman, age not relevant, her story not a fable, We could reach within century long Greek Mythology, we wouldn’t find what we need, This elderly woman sits on her Drum bucket counting change daily, Looking closer you would find immaculate perception, As Umar (ra) would speak, It is said in hadith the Angels seemed to speak with him, Surrounding him, speaking of companions who compiled around him, This beautiful sister sitting nightly, It is said she wore the color Blue as the night sky holds clouds, The way she stands were as tree’s held roots in the earth, 4) You remind me of noticeable features not apparent to the general population, Fatimah (may she be in Jennah) wished to be covered from head to toe before and after death, Wishing for Allah (swt) to be the only One who Gazed upon, 5) Your height is similar to the trespasses of Strong women on society, The first Martyr of Islam gives us the first date, Aisha (ra) and Khadija (ra) became not only pupils but teachers, Visiting Bus stations got the realization of Rosa Park’s Shadow following you, To be honest if five reasons aren’t enough, I will write for you the next hundred years, As Hassan bin Sabit (ra) defended the Prophet (pbuh) with his own, When the non-believers wrote ill remarks against the Prophet (pbuh), He called upon Hassan bin Sabit (ra) to Masjid e Nabwi, The Prophet (pbuh) stood upon his Mimbar, asking Hassan bin Sabit (ra) to reply in beautiful poetry, As our Sunnah was meant for simple words, As our Sunnah was meant for simple truths, Let me write for you simple truths using simple words.
