The 5 fold ministry callings whether pastor, evangelist, prophet, - TopicsExpress

The 5 fold ministry callings whether pastor, evangelist, prophet, teacher or apostle are more than titles. The calling is God given and it is according to His purpose and will. With each calling there is a mantle or weight of responsibility and authority acquired through the refining process specific to each calling. The higher the calling the greater the intensity of the refining. The intensity can and will escalate to the point of total consumption of the called. This is not a course that can be taken in seminary. The refining is unique and specific to the individual and inseparable from the calling. There are and will be times when it seems the calling may take on the appearance of a curse. The anointing and the calling come with a price. YOU. The enemy does not differentiate between those who are truly called or those that just take on a title. He orchestrates his attack against the individual in light of what they call themselves. It is the enemies objective to make liars of all. To take on a title for a calling that God did not ordain for the individual whether they are real or not sets them up for an attack on a level in which they are not prepared. Why? The enemy is tenacious in his efforts to destroy anything or anyone that resembles, sounds like or who has themselves labeled or named themselves to be in ministry whether they are called or not call. Whether the threat is real or not the enemies objective is to destroy it before it can become effective against him. The "called" have God to help, preserve and keep them through the fiery furnace of refinement and to cover them when the enemy does attack. Those who are not called but take on the title are like the seven sons of Sceva. Pretenders and posers that are about to be beaten silly and stripped naked before all to see. Acts 19:13-17 NLT A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, “I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!” Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered. The story of what happened spread quickly all through Ephesus, to Jews and Greeks alike. A solemn fear descended on the city, and the name of the Lord Jesus was greatly honored.
