The 50th Anniversary of Dr. Kings I Have A Dream speech was made a brutal spectacle. But much less will be said about the 50th Anniversary of what I consider the greatest speech of its (or any?) time - Malcolm Xs Message to the Grassroots, which was given 50 years ago this weekend in Detroit. Im honored to be part of a panel this Tuesday Nov. 12 at the Riverside Church in NYC that will commemorate this speech and that was organized as the inaugural episode in the Home is Where the Hate Is Series. The panel will be moderated by Mumia Abu Jamal and Johanna Fernandez, where I will join Herb Boyd, Ilyasah Shabazz (Malcolms daughter) and others, to talk about its significance and implications. It will be liver streamed to Townhouse Public Viewings in Detroit, New Orleans, Oakland, Philadelphia, Chicago and DC. If you want to organize a Townhouse Public Viewing and participate, email: hodayesha@gmail. from Sohail Daulatzai
