The 66 Split-Single Puch started tonight, after 30 years of waiting in a barn. Over the last two days I have changed all of the fluids, done some minor repairs, installed a new bat and with help from Lew Findley and Scott Griffith (to whom I now owe a beer) I completely rebuilt the carb. It started on the second kick and idles just fine! I took for a ride up and down the street and then again with Connie OConnor as a passenger. I think the clutch needs adjustment as it is a bugger to get into neutral when the bike is running but other than the horn everything appears to be running!
