The 8th annual San Jacinto Wilderness CBC, scheduled for this Saturday, 3 January, will take place within a 15-mile diameter circle in Southeast Texas, centered at the triple junction point where Harris, Liberty, and Montgomery Counties meet. This area takes up some of the wildest and most remote natural habitat remaining in this region. From 5,000+ acre Lake Houston Wilderness Park to the huge expanses that are the Riceland Property and the Stoesser Ranch, it is truly a wilderness experience like none other in the area. However, some of our best birds come from the subdivisions that are canvassed by our carpooling groups! So there is something for everyone here. We will meet 7am at Brookshire Bros in New Caney at US 59 and FM 1485. Hope to see you there!
