The Abaco Foundation’s Tennis Clinic will be held in Abaco, June 10 – 14, 2013. The purpose of the clinic is to provide young people with an interest in tennis: • an opportunity to interact with other young persons and skilled individuals; • an experience which will foster the development of their skills; • to take the campers through the various steps of play and warm-up, which includes stretching, a light hitting • technical aspects of tennis and strategy. • to get the participants used to playing more as a group than as individuals. In time, the programme will open doors for participants to go to The Special Olympics, Junior Davis Cup or Fed Cup, where they will have to play doubles. This programme will enable them to gain more court awareness and also get used to playing on the side of someone else.
