The Abgal - were priest advisors to the great kings in Sumeria and Babylon. The carried the knowledge from before the great flood, which is why they were depicted in fish suits. They were said to have come from the sea with all the knowledge of pyramids and civilisation, to advise on how to build the great pyramid city cultures of old. They were also shown with eagle heads, protecting the mes, the tablets of destiny, and held the power of the tree of life. They were shown carrying a small bucket and an object to fling water around in tech gesture of blessing. This gesture was also associated with public exorcisms and cleansing, and this priestly gesture is carried on today in the cur h and in Hindu traditions.. Later their pure knowledge was lost and they are told to have become corrupt until their line of priesthood passed onto men. The great knowledge of pyramid building was lost. There were originally 7 Abgal, or offices of priestly rank, each which specialised in aspects of civilisation as ministers, just like our political ministers today. Most of what was of the structure of Sumerian civilisation is still integral in our culture today....
