The Abia State indigenes in the UK and Ireland have honoured Governor T.A Orji with an award of prudent management in Governance. The Organization sited the numerous legacy projects in Abia and peace and security in the State to have motivated the award. Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor in London, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Diaspora matters, Chief Kingsley Megwara thanked the organization for their recognition of the Governor and reaffirmed the Governors commitment to uplift the wellbeing of Abians all over. In his contribution, the Nigerian High Commission in the UK, Alhaji Tafida praised the effort of Governor T A Orji on peace building and good governance and thanked the organizers for recognizing excellence in Governance. The event was attended by several prominent Nigerians in the UK, including the Chairman of over 3 Million Nigerians in the UK, Dr. Bimbo Folayan, the Vice Chairman of Igbo World Chairman UK, Chief Christian Onuora as well as the the President of other Nigerian Unions.The event took place at the prestigious Royal Thames Yard Knightbridge UK on Saturday, 13th of December 2014.
