The Advocates Remuneration Order 2014 is very welcome but with the ever increasing number of unqualified fellows broking legal services,the practitioner in the small and medium sized firm will find it quite a challenge to adhere. Maybe its time the LSK swings to action to reign in on the brokers. They incorporate companies, draft pleadings and conveyancing documents and conduct succession matters. for example, how do you charge a client 60k to incorporate a company when a fellow has advertised in the newspaper that he does it for Kshs 15,000?
