The American Civil Liberties Union of Nebraska said yesterday that the federal government should not release the names of immigrant children sent to Nebraska, criticizing the governors blatant disregard of what the children have gone through after sending a letter to federal officials asking for information about the children. Today, Gov. Heineman is responding. He says he cant ensure any illegal individual is not getting federal and state benefits if he doesnt know who they are.
