The American Red Cross Needs Rain Center Volunteers in Manitou Springs. In preparation for the upcoming rain season, The American Red Cross and the Historic Congregational Church in Manitou Springs are planning to operate a “rain center” to provide refuge for Manitou Springs and Ute Pass residents who may be temporarily displaced because of evacuations and/or closures. The center will provide residents with a warm place to wait out the storms and enjoy light refreshments and possibly a meal. Several small groups (2-4 people each) are needed, to be available on a rotating schedule to open and operate the church rain center.
