The American Samoa Rugby Union will also be sending a development 7s squad to the Samoa Independence 7s next month, under the name T.A.T.O.O.Rs. comprised of current Talavalu national players whose teams will not be competing in Samoa. Along with other players who will be selected over the course of the next few weeks once the 15 aside starts May 3, 2014. This will be in keeping with goals and plans to maintain the Talavalu squad and look at selection for the FORU Oceania 7s later on this year, as well as maintain the current skill and fitness levels of our players through participation in off island tournaments such as this one. This will be discussed further at next weeks ASRU Meeting April 28, 2014 at 12.30pm, which is also the deadline for clubs to register for the 15aside season set for May 3 and any clubs who intend to compete in the SI7s in Samoa.
