This position will produce a high sales volume with correlated gross profit. The primary responsibility and correspondingly, the greatest challenge associated with this position is the provision of efficient, courteous service to customers that will establish and maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction. This position’s primary activity is to conduct outside sales calls to existing and prospective clients. This position is in continual contact with customers, generating sales for a portfolio of accounts. The incumbent will identify new sales opportunities, utilizing up-selling and cross-selling; manage and solve client conflicts in a manner consistent with the Company’s Statement of Principles; and interact with the sales team and other Mower Center support personnel to fulfill all customer satisfaction goals. Therefore, the incumbent must possess a high degree of human relations skills. Background It is required that the incumbent possess direct sales experience and be able to demonstrate effective skills in customer relations involving direct sales. Preferably, the direct sales experience should include outdoor power equipment. It is also required that the incumbent possess and utilize fundamentally sound negotiating skills as they will be given control of product pricing, marketing, and financing options. The incumbent must also possess the equivalency of high school education in order to effectively read and interpret price lists, financing programs, and product and service literature, complete sales orders, and demonstrate effective verbal & written communication skills. It is expected that the incumbent will spend a significant portion of their time prospecting and developing relationships at the customer’s place of business. The incumbent will control a significant portion of their work schedule, therefore must possess time management and organizational skills, and be self-motivated. It is required that the incumbent possess a current D.O.T.
