“The Anointing Demands Faith” (Mark 5:25-34) “We will see this truth through out the entire bible that God’s anointing requires and demands faith in order to benefit from it. This what we will study and see today in our daily devotion. Our text is found in the Gospel of Mark the fifth chapter and verses twenty-five to thirty-four; “And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years, and who had suffered much under many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was no better but rather grew worse. She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his garment. For she said, “If I touch even his garments, I will be made well.” And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease. And Jesus, perceiving in himself that power had gone out from him, immediately turned about in the crowd and said, “Who touched my garments?” And his disciples said to him, “You see the crowd pressing around you, and yet you say, ‘Who touched me? ’” And he looked around to see who had done it. But the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came in fear and trembling and fell down before him and told him the whole truth. And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Makikita natin dito sa kwentong ito kung paano kumonek iyong pananampalataya ng babae sa anointing na nakay Hesus. Ang babaeng ito ay matagal ng nilalagasan ng dugo at naubos narin lahat ng kanyang mga kayamanan sa kapapagamot pero dipa rin siya gumagaling. Subalit noong narinig niya na paparating si Hesus sa kanilang lugar, sinabi niya sa kanyang sarili na maski mahipo lamang niya ang laylayan ng damit ng Lord ay gagaling na siya. This is her faith in her heart that leads her into action. Maraming mga taong naniniwala din kaya lang walang action. Pero iba ang babaeng ito dahil kanyang nilagyan ang kanyang faith ng action. Sanabi ng Biblia na siya nakipagsiksikan sa crowd hanggang sa mahipo niya ang laylayan ng damit ng ating Panginoong Hesus. And the bible says that immediately the flow of blood dried up and she was healed completely. Agad agad din naramdaman ni Hesus na mayroong kapangyarihan na lumabas sa Kanya. Kaya nga tinanong Niya sa Kanyang mga alagad kung sino ang humipo sa Kanya dahil alam Niya mayroong anointing na lumabas through a touch of faith. Ang akala ng Kanyang alagad ay basta hipo lamang kaya nga sinabi ni Peter na masyadong maraming taong nagsisiksikan. Ang di alam ni Peter na ang hinahanap ng Lord ay ang humipo sa Kanya sa pamamagitan ng pananampalataya. We see here how the faith of the woman has demanded the anointing of Jesus that resulted of her healing. Tandaan natin, maski andiyan pa ang anointing kapag walang pananampalataya ay walang makikitang kapahayagan o resulta. Kailangan ang faith para mademand ang anointing upang dadaloy ang kapangyarihan ng Diyos. The anointing always demands faith in order to be release and meet the needs of the people or our own needs. Ang pananampalataya ang dadaluyan ng anointing upang maihatid ang kagustuhan ng Diyos at matagpo anuman ang pangangailangan ng tao. Kaya dapat lagi lagi nating pinapalakas ang ating mga faith sa pamamagitan ng laging nakikinig, pagbabasa at pagbubulay bulay ng Kanyang Salita. “For faith comes by hearing, and hearing the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17) We need also to act on it so we can experience the manifestation of the power of God. Kung pag-aaralan natin ayon sa sinabi ng aklat ng Hebreo na kung saan binanggit lahat ng mga taong nakaranas ng pambihirang karanasan dahil sa pananampalataya. “Who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.” (Hebrews 11:33-34) Kaya kung gusto nating maranasan na dumaloy ang anointing ng Diyos sa ating mga buhay lumakad at mamuhay tayong lahat sa pamamagitan ng pananampalataya. Living by faith means believing everything that God has said in His Holy Bible.”
