I might have been 12 at the time, but again, this show touched me. It was something unlike everything else on the air. I hadnt seen real women,/ smart women who (although they bickered) genuinely had each others back. It wasnt just about the women themselves, but their friendship I loved most. While the gals in night time and day time soaps were duking it out, Christine Cagney and MaryBeth Lacey illustrated what it meant to have a true friend and, maybe more importantly, what it meant to BE one. So yeah, it was a cop show but it proved that women could hold their own on the small screen (and if I do say so myself, it paved the way to my final two choices coming up). https://youtube/watch?v=FJ-RDj_50oI
