The Arabic word Eid means a festivity, a celebration, a recurring happiness, and a feast. But how can we have any of these when we see that in Gaza alone about 900 people including children and women have been killed? Also take a look at Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, etc. - all engaged in some sort of violence or war. The U.S. has military bases in several countries in the Greater Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE, Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, Kyrgyzstan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Chad. How much that have helped to bring peace for a Happy Eid??
