The Army Barrack That,s Real. It,s real, real is the Army Barrack. We heard of its establishment and in estacy of joy unlimited of its celebration we were until we were told to be weary of the deception of politicking, that it could be a ruse at the end of the day and that was how the joy was checkmated. I remember, i can still remember vividly how i travelled home over a year ago to do the ganni a fiji yes, oju awo lawo fi n gbobe, i travelled home to see things with my korokoro eyes and that day happened to be Bode Agbeleye,s birthday. I called him on phone to say happy birthday and he requested for my presence and i declined for my tight schedule in Ipoti would not allow me to go to Ijero. He fired back at me.... Egbon, i live here in Ipoti not Ijero and i asked myself how possible could it be that the big LG boss would live among his people, he volunteered to send his driver down to my place and i declined and told him, If truly you live here at home, i will locate you just give me the descrption of the place and that ended our discussion. From the Health Centre in Isokun i left to Eniju of the Army Barrack site. I asked the Okada boy to link Eniju via Ejigbo/Ikoyi axis, this he declined due to bad state of the Eyigbo Road. As we were journeying to Eniju on the kelu-kelu okada kokoma dance i asked the okada rider whether he knew Bode,s Place and he assured me of it,s location. We were at the Army Barrack site- a cleared site of nothing yet to show of the Army,s presence besides a big stone,s size pillar of red and black colour. Nothing concrete to use as a subject of my report, i snapped the picture of the open site and referred to it as Beeni- Beeko Army Institution of my report of the deplorable state of Isokun Health Centre which i had earlier visited and my christening it Been- Beeko Army Institution was based on the many controversies challenging the reality of its establishment as at that time. To Bode,s place i asked the Okada man to take me to which i later discovered was not far from that end. It was on Saturday and i had the fear of not calling on Bode again because of the lousy social engagements that are always associated with politicians birthday, Pleasantly shocked i was when i got there and discovered that no party was going on, the guy was really working with his staff and party members and that encouraged me to tour the axis to witness the good work the guy was doing- yes i saw an environment of good layout waiting for development and i pray that the place will be fully developed in Jesus name. He pleaded with me to be entertained and i declined for i felt more satisfied with his good works than the man cooked food of rest room souvenir. From there, i continued my kelu-kelu okada kokoma dance to the Palace of Olupoti of Ipoti to say kabiyesi to Oba Oladipupo Kolade. Yes in the palace i was and the King was busy as usual. Many people i met in the palace and they must all be attended to...hmmm........iwofa to roba lona, too n sadura ninu pe ori oun iba joba, iwofa o de mo peru oba o rogbo, beni osuka nla o gberu agba. I could,t have any private talk with the king for i knew what he was going through, thank God i met a friend in the palace- yes Ebun Akodu was there with whom i related with till i returned back to Lagos that day. When i heard of the Army Barrack again two weeks ago i planned to travell home to see things for myself but couldnt go due to tight schedule here. I sent someone home who confirmed of the progress being made- Engine molding blocks are really working, preparations are going on the foundation laying, fully are the men of the Nigerian Army on ground to confirm their presence. With an Army Barrack , a LCDA Headquarters, two secondary schools with a third one to join soon, backed by a commercial bank of Access surely the micro level of the economy of the town will be well developed and the purchasing power of our people will be highly enhanced. Yes the propensity to consume is a function of the disposable income, soon, my people will have more than enough to meet their financial demands and obligations. We have to pray for a higher institution to give the economy of the town a boost. EKSU is in Ado Ekiti. Fed Polytechnic in Ado Ekiti, Federal University is in Oye, if we can no more have any of these institutions, we can still encourage and lobby for specialised Federal or State higher institutions in Engineering and Information Technology or any other Science related field. Your excellency, Caleb Olubolade we salute you for this you have done and pray you for more of all that you can still do. All the people of the Soil who have been hourly involved with the development of the Land- thank you we all say. Soon i will be on ground to see things for myself and glorify the Lord for magnify Himself mightly in the Land. Congratulations to all the compatriots of the Land. Am proud to be a son of the soil, Iwo nko ?
