The Australian snubfin and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin are internationally regarded as ‘near threatened’. These dolphins take a long time to reach maturity and only produce one offspring every three to four years. These characteristics, combined with their reliance upon near-shore waters, make them vulnerable to any coastal developments that may alter their habitat on the West Kimberley coast.
