The Authoritative Voice of the Luo Nation: Since the controversial ODM nomination of political green horn, Moses Kajwang, other aspirants have been busy exiting the party to either seek accommodation or solace in other parties. First, it was Silas then Okundi, Rabongo and now Caroli (if the rumours are anything to go by). Will Caroli leave his Orange House behind? I understand how these individuals leaving the party feel about their failure to clinch the ticket, and I would have felt the same if I was one of them. However, we must look back to see where we have come from and think about where we want to go as a party. We must understand that the party is bigger than us and ought to outlive us. We must also appreciate that however fair the nomination method was going to be, only one aspirant was going to emerge the winner. I must say that we will not deny them their democratic right those that are deserting the party. We will also wish they carry with them best of luck in their political journey. But I would beseech one Silas Jakakimba to reconsider his stand even as I understand Okundi and others that time is not on their side. He is too young to throw his promising future simply because he has missed out on the nomination. Politics, especially the ODMs politics practised at the primaries, is not for the fainthearted. One thing I am sure of is that it is not easy for a candidate to win on a ticket that is not ODM. The disgruntled aspirants are even compounding their problems as all of them are moving away with a handful of their supporters thus making Moses to easily win the IEBCs elections. If you add Railas support, their chances become even slimmer! Merry Xmass
