The BBC have acknowledged receipt of the following complaint I sent them - now to see if anything else is forthcoming from them! Speedway fans from all over the world descended upon Cardiff over the weekend to ensure that there was a huge crowd at the Millennium Stadium to witness Saturdays British GP as 23 years old Brit Tai Woffinden continues his quest to retain the title of World Champion - a title he won for the first time last year. He finished second on the night to American Greg Hancock but that result was enough to ensure that he leads the standings at the halfway stage of the 2014 quest for the World title. Earlier last week Tai, Greg Hancock and other speedway riders, along with fans, forsook their highly-tuned 500cc motorbikes with no brakes for pedal power undertaking a sponsored bike ride to Cardiff as part of Tais determined bid to raise £100,000 for use by the Great Ormond Street Childrens Charity, having already visited the childrens ward there this year. Simple question - why was there NO mention at all of this on Radio Five live and/or sports news bulletins over the weekend?
