The BC Government covers up to 50% of the cost for educating a child in a private school. While public school enrollment has declined over the last decade, enrollment in private schools is up. Why should taxpayers cover ANY part of the cost of a private school education? Bottom line--its cheaper. From the governments perspective, kids are getting a K-12 education and Dogwood at half-price in the private system. Should this change? Should government cut or eliminate that funding?
