The BadassBreastfeeders home interview for her local news is bringing out ignorance in droves. It would be really simple for people to make arguments if they could only produce some legitimate evidence that backs them up. Show me where a person who was breastfed past 3 years of age suffered psychological or dependency issues because of it. Show me why stopping at a year is beneficial and should be the rule. Show me where the milk has no nutritional value for a baby beyond a year. Show me why getting it from a breast as opposed to a sippy cup is so much worse. Every time you issue those challenges nobody can deliver can deliver any credible evidence to prove those arguments. Why can people be comfortable believing and accepting all the ridiculous arguments that cant be proven, but reject the arguments that have sound backing based on credible and extensive research that proves that extended breastfeeding is beneficial for babies and normal in other parts of the world.
