The Bascule Bridge is open and working well at present. So much so, that yesterday some Radio Stations said it was closed! No doubt they were watching the CCTV and observed a lack of traffic waiting to cross? However the bridge was open and I drove over it in record time travelling north and later in the day going south. There are still roadworks, but maybe the Highway Department have found a solution, see the link below to the full press story. For us retailers its great news as Lowestoft is very much open for leisure and shopping and better access will make it an even greater place to visit.
