The Batwa communities served by AICM have been expelled from their natural forest homes with no compensation from government. Their plight is largely ignored. They have none of the basic requirements of life that all of us expect:- land, homes, health, education and the right to be respected. AICM seeks to reach out to these communities, to meet their enormous needs, beginning with purchasing land for them and working with them to help them adapt to lives outside the forest. Resources needed for this are enormous. FAICM has established a Batwa Fund set aside to help resource AICM as it seeks to be an advocate for the Batwa and to try to meet some of their needs. Regular giving or a donation to this fund would be SO instrumental in aiding AICM in this task. Christmas for many Batwa will be just another grim day of struggle. Please help by contacting our treasurer with a donation or or details of how to donate regularly. Contact :-Treasurer FAICM, GreenleasOrchard Way, Cranbrook, Kent, TN17 3LN
