The Bayou LOurse Volunteer Fire Department will resume flushing - TopicsExpress

The Bayou LOurse Volunteer Fire Department will resume flushing tests on area fire hydrants on Wednesday and likely on Thursday. The procedure is part of the annual flow test required by the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL) for fire insurance rating purposes. Testing will start at 7:00 AM and will end around 3:00 PM. Residents will notice that a drop in water pressure and the tap water may appear cloudy. Emergency vehicles will accompany fire personnel by conducting patrol. Units will deploy emergency lights and make frequent stops. Motorists should use caution and drive slowly near the testing area.
