It was under his advice that a forgotten section of the village charter was brought into play, and at several public meetings a sewer system) and section by section the admirable sewer system of Peekskill, was built upon his petitions. He was elected president of the Village Of Peekskill, March 2, 1915.. He was one of the most loyal friends that the Peekskill fire department ever had.
