The Beyonce voters, as you call them, have every right to depend on the government because if you have forgotten, it is the duty of the government to look after its citizen regardless of gender, race or economic status. Secondly, I condemn, in the strongest terms, the sweeping generalization made in reference to women depending on their husbands if not on the government. There is nothing wrong with being provided for by your partner if that is what you want but that is not the case for everyone. I am friends with several American women who are supporting themselves and doing a damn fine job about it. I also know several who are the ones supporting their family. So, to picture women as a burden of men and the government, helpless and heavily dependent is an insult, a far cry to the reality of a world where people strive to be responsible for themselves and less of a burden to others.
