The Bible Challenge: Day 4 of 7 Loving God! Galatians 2:19-21 (NLT) 19) For when I tried to keep the law, I realized I could never earn Gods approval. So I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ. 20) I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. So I live my life in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21) I am not one of those who treats the Grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die. There are so many nuggets in this one little piece of scripture! Are you trying to earn Gods approval by keeping the law? What does keeping the law mean? These are my thoughts on keeping the law... Its when you try to do all the right things, such as reading your bible, praying, attending church, paying your tithes/offerings, but doing it all in the wrong frame of mind. Are you doing these things to be seen of men, to appease your conscience, or just out of habit? You can not earn Gods approval by doing all the right things, its an attitude of the heart! We have to crucify the flesh in everything we do. We have to see our own selfish ambitions crucified, lay down our lives daily, and determine to let Christ live in and through us! When we attempt to do anything out of our own selfish ambitions, then we are treating the Grace of God as meaningless!! So what does it mean to truly love God? When we choose to lay down our lives for Him, crucify the flesh daily, and allow the Holy Spirit to live big in and through your life, then are you demonstrating to Him that you truly love Him! Its one thing to say you love God, but quite another to prove your love for Him by giving Him every part of your life!! Be blessed and give Him your all today!!
